It doesn’t matter how many times some people hear this; they choose to believe something other than the truth. I am responding to Bud Garner’s Forum letter, Heat’s on for gold plated pension club (July 12). It’s amazing how some people will hear and say something long enough that they actually begin to believe it.

I was appalled by the TV ads run by the Conservative government during the World Cup soccer games over pension reform plans.
Pension ads seem like propaganda - John Filliter
New Brunswick television viewers are being bombarded with another round of provincial government political advertisements. This time the ads are about the recent pension reforms and claim that the reforms are“fair to workers”and that over the years the government has paid over $2 billion “beyond the contract agreement.”
In my view, this is disingenuous sophistry.
